Chocolate Rose Sale

The Chocolate Rose Sale is our major fundraiser each year. The success of this fundraiser determines the scope and amount of grants we can award to the public schools in Wakefield. Chocolate roses are sold in January for the Valentine’s Day holiday. They can be purchased by anyone in our community. The roses are individually wrapped and cost $1.00 each. Please consider buying chocolate roses for your beloved mothers, grandmothers, aunts, neighbors, friends, teachers – anyone to whom you would like to show your love and affection during the Valentine holiday!!

WEF S.T.A.R.S. (School Teachers Are Really Special)

WEF’s focus on educational excellence is carried out in this popular program that enables anyone in the Wakefield community to recognize a special teacher, aide, specialist or office personnel by making a monetary donation on behalf of a teacher whom they feel helped their child achieve academic excellence or who created an exceptional environment in which their child could learn. This special person will receive a lovely certificate of appreciation from the individual(s) who donated on their behalf. This is just another fabulous way to recognize academic excellence by our wonderful staff in the Wakefield Public Schools.

Every school year, many individuals in the Wakefield School System are recognized via the STARS program for their commitment to educational excellence.

Wakefield Public School Calendar

The Wakefield Educational Foundation (WEF) is proud to offer families in Wakefield a 13-month calendar beginning September 2010 featuring the FULL Wakefield Public School calendar including vacations, holidays, staff development days and 6 day cycle. Pertinent contact information for each school (telephone & absentee lines, email addresses for principals, secretary and nurse) and Wakefield Academy is available on the back as well. This calendar features artwork by our very talented students from each of our public schools here in Wakefield.
